As October is slowly moving forward and the leaves are falling, we are wrapping up our poetry unit in English 8. We have written our poetry, analyzed lyrics and poems, and had some great discussions concerning a nonsensical poem, "Jabberwocky." As we move into our next unit, short stories, we will add to our understanding of literary elements and poetic devices.
Just for fun, a great clip of the Mad Hatter reciting "Jabberwocky" in Alice in Wonderland.

Let's catch up! We have been reading Night and studying the Holocaust. Stating tomorrow, you can check here for chapter by chapter summaries. This will help keep you on track with the novel.
